Sound Healing at Udara Bali
Sound healing has been an integral part of the offerings at Udara since its opening in 2017, providing transformative experiences for both individuals and groups. Over the years, we have built up an exquisite collection of sound healing instruments, including artisan gongs, singing bowls, and indigenous instruments from around the world, making each session a truly unique experience. Udara Bali has become a leading destination for sound healing, offering diverse 1:1 sessions, group events, and deeply immersive experiences.
Since the beginning of November 2024, Udara has been hosting daily sound healing journeys in the newly built Quantum Sound Domes, enhancing the healing journey with a sacred space designed for transformation.
As part of the Udara Sunday Festival, we regularly host large sound healing sessions for up to 200 people, cultivating powerful collective energy that amplifies the healing experience. Throughout the week, we offer an array of classes and events that combine sound healing with other practices, including breathwork, cacao ceremonies, yin yoga, and spa treatments.

When you enter Udara’s unique Goa building, we welcome you first in our Crystal Dome. Here, you will discover a special art installation about the power of sound and frequencies. Afterward, you gather with a welcome drink to create a personal affirmation bracelet, followed by an introduction and a sacred ritual that helps you shift from your mind to your heart.
Step into the mystical Quantum Dome, and comfortably sit down for the first part of the ceremony. Talented Indonesian artists will showcase a range of instruments, such as handpan, violin, gongs, and flute, crafting meditative musical pieces that flow throughout the space. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the dome with open eyes and ears, while absorbing these ambient performances.
The main part of this transformative journey will be a profound cycle of sound healing, featuring singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and many more instruments from all over the world. Allow the healing vibrations to calm your mind, release tension, and restore balance.

As the twilight deepens, we transition into the mystical Quantum Sound Dome, where the atmosphere is filled with celestial shimmering light. Your journey continues as you sit comfortably to experience mesmerizing acoustic performances. Your journey begins in the Crystal Dome with an exploration of a unique art installation dedicated to the magic of sound and frequencies. We then gather in the Goa building to anchor your intentions into personalized affirmation bracelets, followed by a sacred heart-opening ritual that prepares your consciousness for the deep vibrational journey ahead.
As the experience deepens, we transition into the Quantum Sound Dome, a potent energetic sanctuary constructed with fossilized coral and rose quartz, following the divine principles of the golden ratio. This sacred geometry serves as the perfect resonator for Udara’s extraordinary collection of artisan gongs from Bali, Germany, Thailand, and China. The heart of this ensemble features three monumental 2-meter gongs: the world-renowned 80-inch Paiste Symphonic Gong—their largest model—and two shimmering golden Chao gongs, specially handcrafted for Udara by a 5th-generation manufacturer.
We begin the journey with an ambient musical performance and the soothing sounds of singing bowls. As you comfortably rest with your eyes closed, the gongs will then become the main highlight of the sound journey. These magnificent instruments deliver a profound experience, with frequencies that evoke the vastness of space, the deep calls of whales, and the mysteries of the cosmos. From the precision of Planetary and Symphonic gongs to the deep rumble of Chao gongs and expansive wash of Feng gongs, every vibration resonates deeply through the dome’s architecture. Additional instruments, such as portable gongs, rainmakers, and thunder instruments add dynamic textures, concluding with the gentle tones of singing bowls once again. Then step into The Dream Dome at Udara, Seseh—a sacred space designed with sacred geometry—for a transformative journey combining live sound healing and the stroboscopic light of the Dream Machine. With closed eyes, the flickering light reveals vivid colors and patterns, guiding you into deep meditative states through brainwave entrainment. This powerful experience ends with a restful integration phase, leaving you renewed, balanced, and inspired.

Vocal SOUND Healing
Experience the profound resonance of chanting in the unique Om Dome, designed with special acoustics to amplify healing vibrations. This 60-minute class invites you to join in with your voice to vocalize various sounds and sacred mantras, or simply listen to the soothing sounds and harmonies. After the chanting, there will be a dedicated time for relaxation and integration, where calming sound healing will further help to release tension and restore balance. Beginning with a heart-opening cacao ceremony, this gentle yet powerful acoustic kirtan offers a deeply immersive sonic journey, woven together by the talented musicians of the Udara sound healing team, supported by sounds of guitar and harmonium, and lyrical string instruments.As the voices unite, you’ll feel your heart opening and thoughts slowing down, captivated by the profound beauty of the music and space. Whether you choose to listen intently or sing along, this powerful form of Bhakti Yoga invites you to connect with the Divine, and to create peace in heart and mind. The dome’s specifically designed acoustics ensure that every vibration resonates deeply, guiding you into a state of meditative calm. Eri has spent over 10 years devoted to Kirtan, studying in ashrams and embracing it as a sacred form of Bhakti Yoga. For him, Kirtan and Bhajan are not just music—they are a way of life and a deep connection to the Divine. He also explores India’s musical traditions, playing instruments like tabla, harmonium, and kartal.

The Quantum Sound Domes at Udara are a pioneering creation in Bali, designed with sacred geometry based on the golden ratio and constructed using rose quartz as well as fossilized coral embedded in the structure. This makes the domes not only the first of their kind in Bali, but also energetically powerful spaces for healing. Rose quartz, known as the stone of unconditional love and emotional healing, enhances the domes’ ability to amplify healing vibrations. Its presence promotes emotional balance, creating an environment that feels nurturing, peaceful, and restorative.
The unique architecture enhances the acoustics, allowing sound to reverberate deeply and harmoniously throughout the space. This combination of sacred design and healing stones elevates the sound experience, making it ideal for sacred use in sound healing. The domes are not only visually stunning but also purposefully supportive of the sound journey, enabling sound to flow fluidly through the space and magnifying the healing properties of both the sound and the rose quartz.

In September 2024, a group of talented local sound healing facilitators came together after following their individual paths to create magical sessions in Udara’s new Quantum Sound Domes. This team features local musicians playing traditional Indonesian instruments, as well as instruments from various cultures around the world, crafting fascinating soundscapes that weave stories through sound. Their creative sequences guide participants on a journey into deep relaxation, opening the mind, experiencing vibrations and energy, and expanding consciousness.
Driven by a deep love for music and sound, the facilitators are passionate about using sound in a sacred way to promote healing and balance, sharing their unique talents in every session. Various staff members at Udara have also been trained to assist with sound healing events. In doing so, they not only support the core team but also enhance their own meditative awareness, benefiting their roles in other departments such as the spa or administration.
A Unique Collection of Instruments
Udara boasts the largest collection of gongs and singing bowls in Bali, offering a diverse and rich soundscape for healing sessions. Each instrument is thoughtfully selected to create specific frequencies that promote deep relaxation, assist in the healing process, and connect you with different elements of nature and spirit.
In addition to our extensive collection of artisan gongs, we are proud to sell Paiste Gongs from Germany, known for their world-class craftsmanship and rich tonal quality as well as high-class Chinese Gongs from a manufacturer in the 5th generation. We also offer handmade singing bowls sourced from a small, dedicated manufacturer near Kathmandu, Nepal. These bowls are crafted with traditional techniques, ensuring a deep resonance that supports meditation and sound healing.
