The Udara Yoga community brings together a team of highly experienced teachers who have been registered and accredited by the Local and International Yoga Alliance. Located at our stunning beachfront location in Canggu Seseh, each of our five unique yoga shalas have a breath-taking view of the ocean, making them the perfect place for a quiet and serene escape from the busy Canggu life, while enjoying the ocean breeze and magnificent Bali sunsets. Whether the aim of your practice is to stretch & strengthen your physical body or reconnect with your spiritual essence, our yoga teachers will guide you on your journey. So join our Yoga Class and discover a range of yoga styles that are incorporated into the daily classes of Vinyasa, Hatha, Aerial, Yin and many more. Please note our regulations for Yoga Classes and Events at Udara Bali:

CLASS CARDS

Class Cards have a limited validity, which will be noted on the class card that you purchase. The Class Card will be registered in the name of ONE individual only (the person purchasing the class card). As long as the person on the name of the card is attending a particular class, he/she may share the card with 1 other accompanying guest. Udara Yoga Class Cards are non-refundable, non-extendable and non-transferable. You cannot transfer your card to another person after leaving Bali.

LATECOMER POLICY

Even though we are in Bali and you might be used to “jam karet”, we start our classes and events on time. Please come early enough and take into account the time you need to come to Udara (sometimes with traffic on the road), sign-in at the front desk and set up your mat or Aerial yoga hammock before the class starts. For special events and sound healing, doors close 15 minutes after start and latecomers will not be accepted. Tickets will not be refunded if you show up too late or if you leave an event or class earlier.

REFUND POLICY 

Please note that event tickets cannot be refunded or modified after purchase. 

Regular yoga classes can be rescheduled until 24 hours before class starts. 

DISCOUNTS

Special discounts for Indonesian citizens are available for single class tickets and special events tickets. Please present your valid KTP card when you sign in at the Front Desk.  

LIABILITY

Udara Resort and their teachers are not responsible for any injuries of participants connected to participation in the classes or events. Please inform the teacher before class about any injuries, pregnancy or health conditions that may affect your practice. 

Udara has CCTV surveillance, yet we cannot be responsible for the safety of your belongings. Please take care of your personal belongings such as bags, shoes and phones while you are at Udara. 

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY CONSENT 

When coming to Udara classes or events, you agree that the Udara staff might take pictures and videos for documentation and promotion. These may be used online (e.g., on websites, social media) or in printed form (e.g., documentation or promotion material).

CHILDREN & PETS POLICY

Please do not bring children under the age of 14 to the Yoga classes. We truly love kids, yet with a heavy heart towards all families with amazing children, we decided that Udara will be an adults-only resort. 

Please do not bring your dog to Udara.

Book a Private Yoga Class in Udara

Private yoga classes are in average 75 minutes – 90 minutes.
Prices:
Smaller groups (1-6 students) – 1.200.000 IDR net
Larger groups (7-14 students) – 2.400.000 IDR net + 100.000 IDR net for every additional 1 student over 14 students. The maximum is 20 students.
We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. The final payment should be made one day before the scheduled class.

Hanna Winkler

Hanna teaches yoga since 2013. Completing her YTT of 200h+ and the focus of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in Germany, plus an additional 300h assisting and learning from Rachel Grey in international retreats and classes.
Bringing her Psychology and healing background into the practice, every class is intended to have a therapeutic and nourishing effect.

She creatively tailors yoga sequences to the ability of each student, offering modifications and alternative poses throughout the entire class. Challenging the students and yet offering a space to just be and breathe. Thus making every yoga lesson with Hanna accessible and enjoyable.

Martina Reinbold

Martina started practicing Yoga in 2006 and over the years it became an important part of her life. Since 2012 he completed various yoga teacher trainings, such as Level 1 (Hatha Yoga according to Swami Sivananda) in Tiruvannamalai/India, Level 2 (Vinyasa, Restorative and Vini Yoga) with Shakti Spirit in Ubud as well as Yin Yoga with Tina Nance in Ubud and Aerial Yoga with Rising Wings. Martina is also a certified Sound Healer, Reiki practitioner and Aquatic Bodyworker.

After travelling to Bali during a sabbatical year, where she fell in love with the island, she decided to move to Indonesia in 2014 and started working for Wellness Resorts on the island to share her passion about yoga and wellness. Martina is part of the Udara team since 2018 and currently teaches various yoga and meditation classes, guides workshops, cacao ceremonies and events, gives private healing sessions (Sound Healing, Reiki and Water Healing), leads the 50 hours Aerial Yoga teacher trainings at Udara Bali and supervises the wellness & detox programs for locals, expats and tourists from all over the world.

Bella

Yoga has been a part of Bella’s life for over 8 years, and her practice has helped her grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires her to live each moment mindfully.

Bella completed her 200 hours Hatha Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training at Kirana Yoga School with kind hearted and humble teachers (Ing Ing and Deera Dewi).

Being interested in Yoga and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), she took 500 hours of Yin Yoga at Yin Yoga World with Nyoman Wahyuni, 50 hours Aerial Yoga Training at Udara Bali with Martina Reinbold, 50 hour Qi Gong Training in Bali Qi Gong Academy, 30 hours Prenatal Yoga Training at Soft Prenatal Yoga. And various TCM Workshops with Ronan Tang, as well as Singing Bowl Therapist Training with Erin Chang. She is also a Reiki Practitioner. She is deeply grateful for the loving wisdom her teachers have shared with her. Bella’s intention is to always remain a student of the practice and to continue learning and growing.

Diana Beauty

Classes at Udara : Aerial Yoga

Diana grew up in Jambi, South Sumatra and moved to Jakarta to pursue education and career in the capital city of Indonesia. After graduating from a Master Degree at one of the best business schools in Jakarta, she jumped into the corporate world of marketing and built her career for almost 8 years.

Having to deal with anxiety, stress and burn out from the corporate environment, she resorted to yoga to find inner peace and balance. Diana personally enjoys practicing Hatha, Ashtanga, Power and Yin Yoga since 2017. In 2021 she finally took the leap of faith to leave corporate world and moved to Bali to take Yoga Teacher's Training at Yogabarn and met her teachers, Paul Teodo and Byron De Marsé with whom she had the honor to train with. She also took Sound Healing Facilitator Training with Shervin Boloorian where she explored different instruments and learned how to express her voice. Diana is known for her light and positive personality. She likes to combine pranayama and mantra chanting in her teaching to help the students ground and reconnect with themselves.

Emma

Classes at Udara: Gentle Flow, Aerial Yoga and Water Yoga.

Emma was born and raised in Barcelona. A few years ago her journey with meditation and yoga began. The moment she started experiencing all the benefits of these practices in her life, she felt the strong call to dive completely into it, attending diverse yoga teacher trainings and workshops (in Hatha, Vinyasa, Aerial Yoga, Kundalini and meditation) and slowly opening the door of teaching. Emma loves to connect with people and to share the things she is learning about life, through teaching. She considers herself a student of life, and her purpose is to make accessible for others tools that can help to connect with the inner peace we all have available within us. Emma joined Udara’s team when she decided to leave Spain in 2022, to take a next step on her teaching journey, allowing her to broaden her passion about consciousness, self-awareness and inner-peace while sharing it with others.

Gus Wira

Gus Wira got to know Yoga from his father who was practicing Yoga everyday at home to get well. Gus got interested in Yoga only when he grew older, especially as he found out for himself that Yoga can address various sicknesses and helps to control mind and emotions.

Besides having completed his Yoga teacher training, Gus Wira is also trained in acupuncture and acupressure. His unique way of teaching includes physical postures, body movement and breathing techniques (pranayama) with a strong focus on energy work. Gus sees Yoga as form of therapy and healing for body, heart and mind.

Elly Hayes

Elly Hayes was born in Central Java. She previously worked as a Medical Representative at a Belgian Multinational Pharmaceutical Company in Jakarta. In 2009, she relocated to Bali, where she initially worked in Property Management and later as a Resort Manager.
During that time, Elly frequently experienced lower back pain resulting from an accident during her studies in Java. That was the beginning of her pursuing Yoga with her best friend Citta as a Yoga Teacher. She started to feel big changes and eventually, she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha and Vinyasa at Udana Yoga (Yoga Alliance). She also became a certified scoliosis therapist and prenatal yoga teacher.
In early 2024 she will continue with 200 hours of Yin Yang Yoga Teacher Training at Yin Yoga World and 50 hours of Aerial Yoga in Udara, taught by Martina Reinbold.
Elly firmly believes in continuous learning and follows the philosophy that education is the best investment for the future: "As long as there is an opportunity, study as high as the sky. The more you learn, the more you gain.

Kartana

I Wayan Kartana grew up in a small village in Bali. While working at a hotel in Ubud, he got the opportunity to learn yoga with an American teacher. He completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through the “Lotus In The Flame” School of Yoga and Healing Arts in 2006.
In 2019, he continued his studies with “Chakra Yoga Bali”, completing an additional 200-hour Chakra Yoga Teacher Training program. That same year, he also completed 36 hours of education in Yin Yoga with the “Lotus In The Flame School of Yoga”.
Wayan fell in love with yoga when he started learning from his teacher, finding that it brought balance to his body, mind, and soul. He loves teaching Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Flow. His Yoga practice has given him a strong determination and the ability to accept the ups and downs of life with equanimity.

Mertayasa

Komang Merta has taught Yoga since 2005 in many hotels and villas in Bali from Nusa Dua to Ubud with different levels from beginners to advanced classes. He is both teaching small individual groups and large scale groups, combining various kinds of Yoga movements to meet the individual needs of the Yoga participants.

Merta is trained from Surya Candra Bhuana (Energy Yoga Bali) and is experienced in various other styles such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Power Yoga, Yin Yoga as well as Thai Yoga massage, Energy Kundalini Yoga and meditation.

Desy

Desy has been practicing aerial yoga since 2022. She loves aerial yoga because she feels it is like a playground. In 2023, she decided to take a 50hours Aerial Yoga Teacher Training in Udara Bali. Aerial Yoga is not only joyful but also provides deeper stretching and flexibility. She felt that yoga is really beneficial for her body and mind, and therefore wanted to learn more about yoga. In 2024, she completed her 200 hours of Vinyasa YTT at Yoga Union Ubud. Her intention for her students is to help them trust themselves on the hammock and to maintain a space that is both fun and safe for everyone.

Jane Patricia

Jane Patricia’s approach to teach derives from her belief that yoga is accessible to everyone. She is known for her hands on approach, enthusiasm, and joy for the practice. Her personal style of teaching yoga draws attention to breath, fun sequences, and most importantly safe alignments and adjustments that suits individual students.

Her Aerial classes are a great start if you haven’t done it before, as she is teaching it in a very safe and precise way.

Yansha

Classes at Udara: Aerial Yoga, Aerial Relaxation, Vinyasa

Yogi Yansa ji was born in Klungkung, Bali in 1972, discovered the transformative power of Yoga at a young age when he stumbled upon a book on the subject in the 6th grade. Intrigued, he began to experiment with the movements and breathing exercises, but without proper guidance, he hesitated to dive deeper into the practice. Prior to fully embracing Yoga, Yansa endured chronic pain, relying on multiple daily doses of medication. A turning point came when a doctor recommended a colonoscopy, leading him to explore fasting.

Seeking guidance, he found mentorship under Sanyasi Dada Vibhakarananda and delved into the world of Yoga. Under Dada's guidance Yansa experienced remarkable physical and mental transformation. He received initiation into the Ananda Marga community and completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with the Yoga Foundation and Meditation of Ananda Marga, under the guidance of Master Manohara and Dada Vibhakarananda. He has completed several yoga teacher trainings like Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Aerial Yoga . Yansa's goal is to share the wisdom of sadhana practice and help people to live healthier lifes. Yansa's life has blossomed through the practice of Yoga, and he is grateful to share its benefits with the world.

Ani Mirawati

Ani Mirawati is Balinese and was born in Tabanan in 1977. She has a professional background in tourism and has been working for different resorts and villas before turning into a Yoga Teacher. Since 2014 she started following and joining her husband to practice Yoga at the Yoga Barn in Ubud and soon noticed how good Yoga felt for her body to build strength, flexibility and balance for her mind in order to maintain health.

Ani proved her passion in Yoga by completing a 50 hrs and 200 hrs Yoga Teacher Training at Udana Yoga Bali (accredited by the Yoga Alliance). She always keeps practicing and teaching since Yoga has become part of her life journey.

Fiona

Fiona is passionate about well-being and movements that make you sweat and progress!

Originally from France, she travelled the world with her backpack and made the bold decision to leave the hectic pace of Paris and settle in Bali, an island that perfectly embodies her love of well-being and personal development.

A lifelong sportswoman with 13 years of gymnastics experience, she found her vocation in Pilates, which she now teaches with passion on mats and reformers. She offers dynamic classes where energy, perspiration and pleasure are brought together.

Driven by her love for human relationships, she guides her clients to become more aware of their bodies, boost their self-confidence and develop a deeper relationship with themselves.
Her mission? To share her knowledge and help everyone feel stronger, more aligned and in harmony with their bodies.

Sandra Seahan

Sandra has been practicing yoga since 2007. Through years of practicing yoga regularly, she experienced incremental benefits and improvement: physically, mentally, and emotionally. She is happy to share her experiences and the benefits of yoga to as many people as possible. She believes that yoga is for everybody and ‘every body”, regardless of age, gender, body shape, and whether you’re flexible or not. Yoga can be customized to the needs and body structure of each person. It’s never too late to start doing yoga.

She has been teaching yoga since 2012. She had completed yoga teacher training and workshops, such as 120 hours of Yoga for Fitness (at Yoga Mix Indonesia –in 2012), 500 hours of Yin Yoga (at Yin Yoga World Indonesia – in 2021), Qigong & Traditional Chinese Medicine Workshops (with Ronan Tang – in 2022), Jin Shin Jyutsu Seminar (with Mary Burmeister Institute USA – in 2022), and Sound Healing Workshop (at Udara Bali in 2022).

Juliya

Juliya's passion for the body and mind led her to the Tibetan Alternative Medicine School of Parapsychology "Wu-Wei," igniting her yoga journey. She trained in Sivananda yoga in Dharamshala, practiced in Sinai, Egypt, and earned her Hatha-Vinyasa YTT certification in Bali, becoming a Yoga Alliance Trainer.

Her expertise deepened with Advanced Vinyasa and Yin Chinese Medicine in India, along with studies in Traditional Tantra, FlyHigh Yoga, Acro Yoga, and Aerial Silks in Bali.

With 18 years of training, 9 years of teaching, and 1150+ hours of Yoga Alliance certifications across 8 yoga styles, Juliya offers courses in Nidra, Meditation, Hatha, Vinyasa, and more. Juliya's teachings, infused with her passion for life and yoga, offer a nurturing space for collective learning and growth.

Carolina

Classes at Udara: Pilates, Gentle Flow

Embark on a movement journey with Carolina, a seasoned physiotherapist specialized in neurology since 2011. Her passion for holistic well-being led her to explore various modalities. She became a Pilates teacher in 2012, with specializations in working with pregnant women and athletes.

In 2017, after experiencing a personal breakdown, she took a sabbatical to rediscover her path. This led her to Colombia to study Thai massage before she became an AcroYoga teacher in Brazil. While there, she also became a Vinyasa yoga teacher.

Combining her expertise in physiotherapy, Pilates, yoga, Thai massage, and Reiki, she offers a holistic approach to healing and wellness.

In 2022, she met her husband, and together with their son, they relocated to Bali. Here, in this paradise, she has the opportunity to share her knowledge and offer transformative experiences to others, integrating all the tools she's gathered along her journey.

Dawn

Dawn is interested in the intersection where yoga meets therapy. She has worked with neuro-degenerative patients in London, using yoga and body work to increase their mobility and regulate their nervous system therefore lowering anxiety and depression. Dawn incorporates elements of meditation, mantras, sound, mudras and massage therapies into her practice.

Having also worked as a body worker (Chavutti and Ayurvedic Yoga massage) for over four years, Dawn took her 200hr Ashtanga/Vinyasa training at Sampoorna Yoga, India and is currently working towards her 500hr Yoga Therapy course at Yogamu, and is grateful for all of her beloved guides and teachers throughout her training and on this life long path she has undertaken. She is also a trained and registered Naturopathic Nutritionist graduating from The College of Natural Medicine in London and is one of the Wellness Coaches at Udara Bali.

Milena

After being a professional football athlete, Milena decided to study sports economics and sports science. Since 2019, she has supervised the fitness and spa areas in various resorts and worked as a personal trainer.

After her Yoga teacher training in Bali, she fell in love with the island and decided to move to Indonesia to share the positive attitude she has towards life with others.

She enjoys teaching the connection between body, mind, and breath in her classes, as she has learned to listen to her body through yoga, which was and still is a life-changing experience for her.

Her intention is to make yoga accessible to everyone, no matter how flexible or experienced they are. She encourages her students to enjoy, reconnect with themselves, and continue growing, just as she does while teaching her classes.

Nadine

Classes at Udara : Beach Bootcamp

Nadine was born in Germany and came to Bali for the first time in 1994. Since then she has always wanted to live here, and 28 years later she realized her dream. Nadine started in 2009 as a bodyART and Deep Work Instructor and then as a yoga teacher. She loves movement, whether dancing, CrossFit or yoga. In yoga as well as in functional training and CrossFit, she often sees what the participants need to improve. Through her experience, she can help to show the clients & students what is necessary to be done to alleviate blockages in the body. Through communication, breathing, and massage, she helps the clients to transform their old patterns into new habits for a better healthy life.
